After recording a string of hit singles and starring in a number of movies including 'White Christmas' with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney began recording the first of many albums in 1951, Her co-stars were Harry James, Duke Ellington, Bing Crosby, Perez Prado, Nelson Riddle and many more. Rosemary experienced personal troubles over the years, none more so than in June 1968. She was standing only yards away from her friend, Robert Kennedy, when he was shot fatally. Happily she recovered from this tragedy. In 1976 she received an invitation from her old buddy, Bing Crosby, to accompany him on his 50th anniversary tour. Rosemary accepted willingly, and that tour revived her recording career. The following year her autobiography, 'This For Remembrance' was published.
