CD reissue. Brenda Lee was undoubtedly an artist before her time, possessor of an incredibly mature voice and with the ability to select material that would resonate with a wide audience. Emotions was her fourth album, even though Brenda was still a teenager at the time of release, a remarkable state of affairs. The album contains a mix of cover versions (seven tracks) and new repertoire (five tracks), with the title track going on to become a Top Ten US hit (it also charted inside the Top 50 in Britain) and another Top 40 hit being scored by I'm Learning About Love. A truly remarkable album by a truly remarkable artist.
