Trumpeter Eddie Henderson beamed the hard bop vocabulary of Lee Morgan and Freddie Hubbard up to a sleek, space-age frontier, prefiguring the nu-jazz movement with his innovative use of effects and electronics. This is the album with the revelatory "Inside You," a future funk-DJ favorite which has been often sampled, most famously by Jay-Z for "Coming of Age" on his renowned debut album Reasonable Doubt.
