The most remarkable thing is that this group, which was the epitome of 60s in virtually every aspect (musically, personally, etc), made hit records that still sparkle and shine today over half a century later. Their unique blend of rock, folk and pop, harmonies and switching leads and John Phillips great songs created such lasting gems as "California Dreamin'," "Monday, Monday," and "Creeque Alley".
