Nova is the Jazz/Pop/Bossa Nova Combo of Frankie and Gina. Their library consists of music that had it's genesis on the New York Broadway Stage; classics that have become Jazz Standards. They also have a wealth of Original Material that gives homage to the jazz tradition as well as borrows from styles from around the world They Perform as a trio here with the addition of a drummer. In this group Frankie DiDonato uses a guitar he has made into what he calls a Baritone Guitar. (A guitar with the addition of two Bass strings). NOVA Swing Trio has the excitement of a mini Swing Big Band, Taking the musical constructs of Melody (Gina), Harmony (Frankie) and Rhythm ( Drummer). It is both intimate and explosive.
