Often cited as the cleaverest writer in country music, Fulk's latest is a paean to the masters that came before hi. Novelties, weepers, story songs, and rave ups are all tackled with old shcool recordings conventions (2 tracks, 1/2" tapes, etc) and allow the songs to provide an excellent bromide from that which passes as "country" music these days.
