Sonny Boy Williamson was one of the most inspiring harmonica players in blues history. Though he took his name from another well-known harmonica player, no one really sounded like him. Williamson developed his own signature harmonica style, always showing a metronome-like timing and an endlessly inventive technique. This release consists of Sonny Boy's complete debut LP, Down and Out Blues, originally released in 1959 on the Chess Records subsidiary label Checker.
